We're Tinsy and Chris Seche, and we would like to welcome you to our restaurant, Ugly Gus Cafe and Bar.  We opened our establishment in July 2000 in a building originally operated as the City Hotel and dating to 1905. We team to bring you over 35 years of experience in the restaurant business.  Prior to our opening, Tinsy had served as the manager of the Beekman Arms.  Chris is fondly remembered as the owner/operator of the famous Sherlock's Restaurant on Wall St. You'll still spot a few of Sherlock's specialties on our menu!
At Ugly Gus we offer a casual atmosphere and friendly environment, but our service and food have a true Uptown flair, from our Big Ugly Burgers to our fine gourmet meals.  Our name may be funny, but our commitment to your complete dining experience is something we take quite seriously. We look forward to seeing you for lunch, dinner, or drinks.
